Franz Schubert - 'Notturno' Movie Trailer (Unofficial)
My first video editing effort with moving images. I selected scenes from the brilliant Schubert film 'Notturno', and blended them with Schubert's 'Andante Sostenuto' from his Sonata in B flat D. 960. Despite the desperate and melancholic mood so typical for Schubert's final years, I hope you enjoy the video.

Pure joy!
Does anyone have the piece at pdf?
❤
23:45 - Syphilis is by no means invariably fatal. Many patients survived it, among them Schubert's friend Schober.
It's totally misleading to include the phrase "Manuscript 1826" which implies that this waltz was written down in that year by Schubert (who died in 1828). In fact, of course, it wasn't committed to paper until over a century later!

very beautiful to be loved by your friends, thanks
I found that to be a very powerful closing statement. Quite beautiful. ❤
I will teach my pupils this topic to teach about Schubert@@jmbechtel
Lovely summary of this great man's life. No music do I enjoy more.
Is that a painting of Franz Schubert or of Jonathan Biss?
Inspired by Mozart K.475 in the same key.
Love the Documentary...my favorite piece is string Quartet no.13 Rosamunde 1,2...such counterpoint layers between violin & cello
So schön ❤
Que pena não está traduzido
Im always coming back
Meraviglioso!!!!
"Promo sm" 😱
Thank you for posting. A good introduction to Schubert ..... at least to me 🙏
His speech is half-German and half-English.
Gracias que buen documental 😃
This sounds similar to the Edvard Grieg's style. Schubert was a really great innovative.
Funny
es hermosooo
Magnifique ✨
Can I find the complete film with english subs?

This is a great video. You have selected the D960 second movement as background music, which is very appropriate. I take note of your selected social scenes (where Schubert entertained his friends) which show Schubert's isolation from his friends. And the humiliation from his father in the classroom, whom he desperately wants to reconcile with (his written Mein Traum) Even on his deathbed, he writes a letter to his best? friend Schober, who does not even pay him a visit. So sad.
Schubert was only 14 yrs old when he wrote this piece.
Also nice with guitar: ruclips.net/video/j5s6IAu5z6U/видео.html
We learned this in Singing Together in the early 60s x have been searching for this for years! Anamazing wee programme for children.
Kupelwieser he bought and built Brione, a resort of high society.
A fantastic serie/movie and your selection is very good!
As nice as Bolet's performance is, in my opinion, no one can compare with the version by Volodos (on RUclips when I last looked).
Beautiful!!!!! Bravo!
Love it!
Sounds a lot like Mozart’s K. 475
genau
As it is written in the description, it is a Fantasy on Mozart's themes
Love my Schubert 👏
Who's the pianist?
Could you please tell us who the pianist is? It is a lovely performance. Very sensitive and beautifully stylized with quiet rubato and subtle tempo modifications.
great for getting bsby to sleep!!!
Esperemos que de adolescente lo disfrute
Where can I find the score?.
Very impressive for an 16 year old.
A 16 year old genius!
Gandaleon: This is not from Winterreise, it's the second movement of D960

This piece is so moving I could cry!
Schubert of course his phrases that may resemble those by other composers that preceded him... but he builds a different and more complex affective structure to them... which is so unique. This shows that Music maybe mathematical in its basis... but it goes way deeper and wider than any other human endeavor
I remember doing this for Grade 6 piano is 1996! I loved this playing it so much. And still do all these years later.
don't know if you'll see this a year later, but I did it too in 96 and yep, still love playing it too :-)
fantastic.
